Taydon's List Update We at the Pensacola OCR are sorrowful to inform all that on September 23, 2008 Taydon Powell passed away after a horrible accident. Taydon will be missed by his family, friends, loved ones, teachers and all who knew him. Taydon Powell age 5 was the start of our pilot program, "Taydon's List". Taydon who was afflicted with Autism, utilized the D.A.N. (Defeat Autism Now) diet. With this special diet and Taydon's sensory issues his diet was very limited. To assist the family, the Pensacola OCR started "Taydon's List", a school food program that specialized in the D.A.N. diet and Taydon's special sensory issues. Due to the special requirements it was imperative to work closely with Taydon's parents and the school. This program was a huge success and a great help to Taydon's family. Taydon's family has posted an amazing memorial to Taydon at Making Everlasting Memories. Please take a moment to visit the memorial and sign in the guest book. This will let the family know that they are in our prayers, and our heart goes out to them. This family and many others strive everyday with children with special needs and on special diets. Each family with a different set of circumstances. Please remember these families in your prayers.
